The Virgin of Guadalupe corner is especially sweet, and like all the altars, is designed to offer ideas on how to create your own sacred spaces in your temple, home, garden or office.

Nikki Lastreto, the proprietor of Sacred Treasure House, has been an altar artist for many years, and has done private installations as well as public in museums, universities and events of all sizes. She is available for full project design or consultations through this website. Her emphasis is on, " . . .mixing up the gods. I like it when they all play together, which reminds us that the basic message of love and compassion is common to all traditions. At Sacred Treasure House, we look for the similarities instead of the differences between the worlds' deities."

The altar to Ganja Ma, the deity for the town of Laytonville, resides in the temple room. The very large antique phurpa hanging on the wall comes from a Tibetan monastery.

Lord Shiva, God of Creation and Destruction, is often represented by the phallic lingam.  Narmada lingum stones are especially cherished as they come from the sacred Narmada river in India.

A perfect example of this is the large King Tut, which is actually made in the Philippines. "We call him Jose Tut Fernandez," says Nikki with a wink.
